Happy 2011! Spotlighting Southeast Gwinnett Co-op!

(Picture of a volunteer looking at the shelves at Southeast Gwinnett Co-op. The food goes very fast due to the high volume of families they serve. The other picture is difficult to look at. Empty shelves at the co-op in 2010 prompted an emergency email donation request from Laura Drake, food bank director).

Happy New Year everyone! Hope you all had a wonderful and safe holiday season with your families!

This year, a lot of exciting things are in store for Clipping for a Cause! First off, we will have an official website in just a few weeks! Also, we are about to exceed 10,000 items donated in just a couple of days! God has been so good and continues to work through each of us involved in this ministry in different ways!

In 2011, I would like to do a better job of spotlighting the different organizations we assist and tell you a little more about each one and their current needs. It's so awesome to use the knowledge and talents we have gained through couponing to "pay it forward" to those in need. My hope and prayer is that others will feel led to do the same and perhaps several more chapters of "Clipping for a Cause" will continue to form across the U.S. throughout the new year!

Where is the Southeast Gwinnett Co-Op Located?
The Southeast Gwinnett Cooperative Ministry is located at 1200 Athens Highway (US 78) in Grayson GA, but it is very close to Snellville.

It is located behind the Community of Grace Church in two trailers. Note that there is not an entrance to the church off of Hwy 78. You must turn next to the Twisted Throttle Motorcycle Shop and that will bring you around to the parking lot of the church. Take a right and the Food Bank is located in 2 mobile homes parked there.

To Drop Off Donations to the Food Pantry:
Food can be dropped off during normal hours of operation, however the food bank is open on Tuesday and Thursday from 10am-12pm JUST for food item drop off. This allows the staff of the Southeast Co-op to focus on the clients during normal operating hours.
