Great Ways to Donate for Free Or Pocket Change at: Publix (Through Wednesday or Thursday)
Thank you to I Heart Publix for the following matchups! Remember, these are great items to not only add to your own stockpile, but to donate to others if you don't need them! If you haven't started a filing system yet for your coupons, make a goal in 2011 to get more organized! While it takes some time in the beginning, the rewards are WELL worth it! Everyone is different, but for mine, I just have a filing cabinet with different sections labeled, "Smart Source," "Red Plum," "General Mills," "P&G" and "Store Coupons." Carrie's (Member of Clipping for a Cause) $11.05 Trip to Publix While Saving $36
I know I usually try and do the coupon matchups for you and apologize for not having them! I just had to share this picture with you though as it still amazes me what you can buy for your family with just $11! While saving over $36, Carrie managed to purchase peanut butter, bread, boxes of cereal, smoothie mix, etc. for very little! While the couponing process may seem a little time consuming and confusing right at first, as you can see, it totally pays off!

Great Ways to Donate for Free or Pocket Change at: Publix Starting 1/13
Sorry for the lack of posts the past few days! We definitely got the winter weather here in Atlanta that others had warned us about and we are on day 3 of being stuck at my mom and dad's house..unable to drive anywhere! Not that I am complaining! This is the absolute best place to be in a winter storm. In fact, we have joked around that it's like a free trip to Colorado with our very own lodge. We have had a blast sledding on their 7 acres and have enjoyed every minute. The only bummer is that because of the weather, my local Publix has not received its regular truck deliveries. Right now, just about any store you visit locally is out of milk, bread, and other essentials. I haven't seen anything like it! Because of this, our weekly order that we place for the food banks had to be cancelled. I was so excited about the 40 jars of peanut butter and 40 packs of muffin mix that we were going to deliver. But..it's in God's hands and Mother Nature is out of our control! But..look at all of the things we (and you!) can donate starting tomorrow at Publix!
**Note: Several items that I list on the blog to donate are frozen or cold items. It's best to double check before dropping items off yourself to a local food bank or homeless shelter that they accept cold/frozen items. If you are in the Gwinnett County area, The Quinn House and Southeast Gwinnett Co-op in Grayson both do.

Best Ways to Donate for Free or Pocket Change: Publix (Starting 1/6)
When I was doing a drop off at a local food bank around the holidays, the volunteers informed me that the bulk of their donations come in between the months of November and December. Due to the increase, they use the extra donated items to carry them through the slower months that follow: January, February and March. If each person set a goal to get even 3-5 extra items during their personal grocery trips, it would make a huge difference. With the use of coupons, many of these items could help needy families for FREE!
Here is how you can do this at Publix this week! Feel free to contact me on how to start "Clipping for a Cause" in your area!

More Free Yakisoba Noodles at Publix!
Two Great Moneymakers at Walgreens!
My faithful couponing buddy, T., sent me the following two deals currently going on at Walgreens that make for great moneymakers! As always, if you don't need or use these items yourself, consider donating them to someone else who can! The children's flu medicine is especially in high demand right now with needy families who cannot afford an $8.99 bottle of medicine. If you aren't local here in Georgia, any homeless shelter or food bank would be more than happy to get these!
Deal #1: $8.99 Register Rewards when you buy Children’s Oscillococcinum Homeopathic Flu Medicine 6 ct at $8.99, making it FREE. If you use the $5 off coupon from the January coupon booklet (these are up front in the store), this becomes a $ 5 money maker!
Deal #2: $1.50 Register Rewards when you buy Finish 20ct. Powerball dish pack for $3.49. If you use the SmartSource coupon from today's paper (1/2) for $2.25 off, this becomes a free plus overage deal!
If you have never done Walgreen's Register Rewards before, they are fairly easy to use. When you make a purchase that qualifies for a RR, it will print out with your receipt. You can then use the RR toward any future Walgreen's purchase (except for prescriptions and photo services) during the next two weeks. The expiration date is on the ticket so be sure to use it before it expires. They will not honor it after that date. You can use them in conjunction with a manufacturer or Internet coupon, too! Also, some have a limit of one deal per customer per transaction only. But that doesn't mean you can't go back during the week to do it again if you choose to!

Happy 2011! Spotlighting Southeast Gwinnett Co-op!
(Picture of a volunteer looking at the shelves at Southeast Gwinnett Co-op. The food goes very fast due to the high volume of families they serve. The other picture is difficult to look at. Empty shelves at the co-op in 2010 prompted an emergency email donation request from Laura Drake, food bank director).
Happy New Year everyone! Hope you all had a wonderful and safe holiday season with your families!
This year, a lot of exciting things are in store for Clipping for a Cause! First off, we will have an official website in just a few weeks! Also, we are about to exceed 10,000 items donated in just a couple of days! God has been so good and continues to work through each of us involved in this ministry in different ways!
In 2011, I would like to do a better job of spotlighting the different organizations we assist and tell you a little more about each one and their current needs. It's so awesome to use the knowledge and talents we have gained through couponing to "pay it forward" to those in need. My hope and prayer is that others will feel led to do the same and perhaps several more chapters of "Clipping for a Cause" will continue to form across the U.S. throughout the new year!

Where is the Southeast Gwinnett Co-Op Located?
The Southeast Gwinnett Cooperative Ministry is located at 1200 Athens Highway (US 78) in Grayson GA, but it is very close to Snellville.
It is located behind the Community of Grace Church in two trailers. Note that there is not an entrance to the church off of Hwy 78. You must turn next to the Twisted Throttle Motorcycle Shop and that will bring you around to the parking lot of the church. Take a right and the Food Bank is located in 2 mobile homes parked there.
To Drop Off Donations to the Food Pantry:
Food can be dropped off during normal hours of operation, however the food bank is open on Tuesday and Thursday from 10am-12pm JUST for food item drop off. This allows the staff of the Southeast Co-op to focus on the clients during normal operating hours.
