ClipShopShare Group Of Tipp City, Ohio: Turning $200 into $10,000 Worth of Donations! Unbelievable!

I HAD to share this!!!! I received this email from a fellow clipper this week who also formed a similar group to "Clipping for a Cause" 6 months ago in Ohio! Carli leads the "ClipShopShare" group and the work they have done to stock their local food pantries is amazing!! I encourage you to read the below press release to see how so far, $200 has turned into $10,000 worth of donated items!!!! (Yes, my mouth dropped to!) Awesome work, ClipShopShare!!
PRESS RELEASE: August 25, 2010
Written by Carli Amlin Dean on behalf of ClipShopShare
Turning $200 into $10,000
In just 6 short months time, ClipShopShare has donated over $10,000 of groceries, toiletries, paper goods, school supplies and more.
ClipShopShare is a volunteer group of a few local professionals that donate their time to use coupons and sales to stock local food pantries, shelters, etc. With the use of weekly drug store & grocery store sales and the pairing of these with coupons ClipShopShare has now donated over $10,000 of items for less than $200 out-of-pocket. ClipShopShare’s Leadership Team includes Kim & John Wilder of Brookville, Carli Amlin Dean from Tipp City, Chris Long of Troy and Kim Brumbaugh from Pleasant Hill.
In addition to helping their neighbors in need, ClipShopShare also offer a once-a-month FREE Coupon Coaching Session. They teach how to use coupons to reduce your weekly grocery budget while also learning how to conservatively create a small stockpile. Currently the class is the 1st Wednesday of the month at Ginghamsburg Church at 7pm. Please check the website for location of class and directions at www.ClipShopShare.com
Follow www.ClipShopShare.com and Facebook page Clip, Shop, Share for daily deals posted about items for FREE, coupons to print, ways to reduce your budget, sales at local grocery and drug stores, and of course…the successful shopping and donations made for the week on behalf of ClipShopShare.
Want to help ClipShopShare and the food pantry but don’t have time to coupon yourself? Just donate your coupon booklets to ClipShopShare. They have boxes set up in TIPP CITY at Ginghamsburg Church, New Path Food Pantry, Schroeder Tennis Center, Amlin Advantage of RE/MAX Professionals, and Tipp Monroe Community Services. In Huber Heights at Fox’s Pizza, in Troy at RE/MAX Professionals and in Dayton at Wright State University’s University Center for International Education. You may also mail inserts to 890 Ginghamsburg Road, Tipp City, Ohio 45371 in care of ClipShopShare.
“Couponing just seems like such an obvious answer to helping people,” says Carli, so, if you want to help people and learn how to save money yourself, get involved in ClipShopShare. We are always looking to expand the shopping team!

FREE Yakisoba Noodles after This Sunday! (Thanks Jason!)

What in the heck are Yakisoba noodles some of you may ask! Well, for those of you who lived off of Ramen Noodles during your college days like I did, they are pretty much the same thing! This weekend, according to Southern Savers, there will be a $0.50/1 coupon for them. I have seen each package of these noodles for $0.79 and under. SO...if your store doubles coupons, that means each pack will be FREE plus overage (if your store allows!) Items like these are not only great to stock up on for your own family, but they are a staple item at food banks and they are always happy to get them!

Best Ways to Donate for Free or Pocket Change Starting 8/26 at Publix

Many of you who follow the blog or our "Clipping for a Cause" Facebook page realize the extreme crisis so many of our local foodbanks are currently experiencing. Shelves are empty, more people than ever before are having to seek assistance due to tough economic times, and in some cases, food banks are running out of both money and food for the first time in a decade. Hearing the stories of the people visiting the co-ops tears at my heartstrings. Not only because I empathize with what they are going through, but because this could VERY easily be you or me one day. So, please take the time to read the list of how to donate for free or pocket change each week if you feel led to do so! Nothing seems as effortless as adding a few extra items to your shopping cart when you are there anyway, especially if hardly anything is coming out of pocket!
